Hot Springs Village AR Photographer www.photographybyjohn.us Married 2
We moved to Hot Springs Village Arkansas from Dallas in June of 2013 and really enjoy it.  It is so pretty and quiet, almost no traffice or airplanes flying over.  I took up photography about 12 years ago and that is pretty much all I do now.

I married Connie 25 years ago, she has two children and we have 14 grandchildren between us.

My oldenst son Brent has 13 restaurants in the Dallas metro area and is doing well.  Don, my youngest has been a State Farm Agent in Amarillo for many years and has built a good business.

I'm excited about coming and seeing everyone and am pleased that so many people are coming.

Many thanks to the Reunion Committee for the wonderful job they are doing planning this event and keeping all of us informed.  I am also very impressed with this reunion web site, which I understand is the product of Sue Hancock Jones. It is really fun reading what many of my classmates have done since graduation.

I am currently residing in Fort Worth with my husband Kenneth.  We have been  married 47 years and have been blessed with two wonderful daughters and four grandchildren, who are the love of our lives. Our oldest daughter, Karena, and her two children lived in Rome, Italy from 2008 to 2012.  During that time, she worked at the American Embassy, and the girls went to a private school where they learned to speak Italian and some French.  We had the opportunity to visit them twice.  During each visit, they showed us as much of Europe as we could pack into two weeks.  They are now living in Maryland, where Karena works at home for a company that sells computers and equipment to the federal government.  Our oldest granddaughter, Sheridan, just graduated and is now attending American University in Washington, D.C.  Her sister, Ashton, is a junior in high school and has signed with a modeling agency.

Our younger daughter, Ginger, and her husband, Sam, live in Fort Worth near us.  Ginger is a paralegal for the U.S. Attorney's Office, and Sam is a lawyer for a firm in Fort Worth. Their son, Riley, will graduate this coming year.  He is an accomplished guitarist and often plays for the youth meetings at church.  Their daughter, Kaitlin, at age 13, is a very talented dancer and has perfomed with a group on Good Morning Texas and at Disney World in Florida.

Ovilla TX Retired Director of Waxahachie Community Theatre Married 4
I spent 26 years as director of Waxahachie Community Theatre, Waxahachie, TX, directing mainly musicals.  I have written and produced four musicals as well as a three-person comedy entitled, "A Slice of Salmon."  After knee replacement surgery in 2010, Alan suggested I "retire"...whatever that means.  I still act here and there--write a review newspaper column for our area--sew and read, read, read.  I really enjoy Bible teaching and singing with Alan.  We are proud of our children and eight grandchildren--four of whom are in college. This will be the first reunion I have attended and I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again.

I married Jay Watts (also a '64 LHS grad) while a senior at Tech. After graduation we moved to Long Island, NY where he was stationed. He went to Vietnam Nam and I went back to Lubbock.  I had gone to work for Allstate Insurance while in NY and continued to work for them for the next 30 years in the property and casualty claims end of the business.  Jay and I were divorced in '73.  In 1994 I moved to Winchell, Tx to take care of my mom and began raising miniature donkeys and in 2001 went to work for the McCulloch County prosecutor. I  loved wearing the white hat of the prosecutor's office.  In 2005 I married Paul.  He passed away in 2012.  I was never blessed with children but fostered 10 children when I lived in Midland.  I am currently volunteering with the Winchell VFD and enjoying traveling for the first time in my life.

Medina TX retired teacher/vacation property manager Married 2
First of all, I would like to thank the reunion committee for such a wonderful job of planning our 50th reunion.  I can' t wait to see everyone again.

I graduated from Texas Tech in 1967 with a degree in education.  After starting my teaching career in Lubbock, I taught in several states and cities.  At the encouragement of our fellow classmate Mary Sue (Nelson) Johnson, I earned my certification as an Licensed Academic Therapist. As a result of that, I finished my teaching career as a dyslexia specialist with Fort Worth I.S.D. in 2010.

Charles Hemphill (MHS '64) and I just celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary.  We now live in the country on 10 acres outside of Medina, Texas.  We are blessed with two children and two grandchildren so far.  Both our son and daughter have vacation rentals in the San Antonio King William Historic District.  I manage the properties for them.  If you need a place to reside while visiting San Antonio, look us up on HomeAway.com.  The unit numbers are #927899 and #985211.  We would love to have you stay with us.

I'll not be able to join everyone for the reunion - recovering from a broken ankle!

Following my years at LHS, I enjoyed several wonderful summer jobs during
my years at Texas Tech, including one summer in Glacier National Park with some LHS friends and HemisFair '68 where I met my husband of 45 years.  After college and a few relocations, we came back to Texas where I worked for the Dallas Mavericks, then the San Antonio Spurs (have the first four Championship rings!).  More recently I have enjoyed working at the San Antonio Museum of Art and am now working for a private family.

David and I do not have children but are passionate about our three Cavalier
King Charles spaniels!

I would enjoy connecting with anyone in the San Antonio area or any of
you who might pass through from time to time.  Love living in San Antonio!

Hi, chums. Was it really fifty years ago that friends and I walked down the hall toward the cafeteria hoping to be noticed by those cute guys leaning against the wall? Wow! "Time he is a tricky fellow " (Lewis Carroll)
Fifty years later finds me, a retired teacher living in Lubbock working at a family-owned gift shop, with three wonderful very grown children and four precious grandchildren with whom I recently spent a week at a NC beach. God is indeed very good to me.
I hope to visit with you at our reunion. We on the committee-I really haven't done much of the work- sincerely hope you will join us in good old Lubbock. We may look a bit different, but that high school spirit is still there. Would love to hear from you via email.

Lubbock TX Parts Mgr. Commercial HVAC, this time, Aviation 1st Career, 50 yr Married 2
After 8 months of helping my Dad pass away, with some degree of dignity and grace, I am glad to finally be signing in. I started with this Great group of folks working to put this event together, and was fortunate enough to have spent some quality time with many classmates from a much simpler time, and enjoying each and every one. I've been the fortunate recipient of renewed friendships with Sue, and Janie, who for whatever reason, we missed while at LHS. Those of you who never were able to work on one of these reunions, sure miss a few "classic" commentaries, all fun. The first was at the first meeting, when as Joe & I walked down the stairs, one of the girls was overheard to say "who are all these old people"?

I was an early fan of this interactive website, a product of Sue Hancock (Jones)' emmense talent, which she has been willing to share with us, so be sure to thank her personally. Enough for now, we can catch up at the reunion, I'll look forward to seeing you there... If you are able to read this, it is a testimony to the tenacity of Sue's Mom, and perhaps a little of what I learned from Ms. Honey... and others of the staff we knew at LHS, '62-'64. Oh, I graduated from Tech too, but Lyndon saved a place in South East Asia for me... Army, 10th Cav, 4th Inf., Central Highlands...

So great to see how many have committed to come to the reunion.    Reading everyone's paths through the years is interesting as well as impressive.

Following LHS I had the great priviledge of attending Tech and playing basketball for the Raiders, but the opportunity for an education was the most important of all for me. A year after graduatiing from Tech I met a beautiful young lady from Uvalde, Tx. Landra and I married in 1971 and lived in Lubbock initially.    After starting my career in banking at the First National Bank of Lubbock, I made a defining moment decision in 1973 and moved to Richardson, Tx to start a new career path in real estate, beginning in shopping center promotion, leasing and management.   A few years later I chose to continue in real estate but changed focus to office building management.   Through the remainder of my career I had tremendous opportunities to lead some great high-rise office building teams in Miami, Atlanta, Dallas and Denver, retiring in 2010.

Along the way we had two great sons, the oldest a financial planner with Wells Fargo Advisors in Sherman, Tx, and the youngest a national sales rep. and product specialist with Carl Zeiss Sport Optics in Denver.    We have three grandkids in Sherman and thankfully get to see them at least once a month.    As with many of you, travel is constantly on the radar for Landra and me, including lots of great fishing trips with old friends and hunting with the boys.   Traveling to Lubbock to see everyone will definitely be the highlight of 2014.

Thanks to all the planners of the reunion--can't wait to be there!
Tom and I live in Austin.  We moved here in 1983 after meeting in DC and getting married in 1971, living in New Orleans for graduate school for both of us, moving to Ohio for seven years so he could teach at Ohio Wesleyan University, then moving back to Austin.  We have two daughters.  Piper is married to Drew, and they live in Austin with their children Molly (4) and Nolan (2).  Erin is married to Chris, and they are in Oakland CA with their two sons Jack (5) and Gus (6 weeks).
Tom is mostly retired, though he teaches a couple of anatomy and physiology classes at Austin Community College each semester.  I can't bring myself to retire yet, though I know someday it will look like a good idea.  I have a private counseling practice and also teach a couple of courses at Austin Community College each semester.  I play tennis as often as possible, which keeps me as sane as possible.
See you all in September.

Shortly after graduation (12 days)I joined the Navy, for the next 22 1/2 years I roamed the world.  Spending time in San Francisco (electronics school), Atsugi Japan, Agana Guam, Lemoore CA, Davisville RI, McMurdo Station Antarticia (Wintered Over), Londonderry Northern Ireland, Pensacola FL (photography school) Mountain View CA, Adak AK, Back to Pensacola ( photographer for the Blue Angels) Albuquerque NM (with the US Navy hot air balloon team) Cubi PT Phillipines, finally ending in Oahu HI.

I married my wife (Suzanne) in 1972 and we have 2 daughters and 1 grandson.  We settled in the Great Pacific Northwest when I retired from the Navy in 1987 and have been here ever since.  I worked in the photography field until retiring ( for good)  in 2009.

Still doing a good bit of photography (just for fun), shooting the old homesteads and barns in the wheat lands not far from here.  Playing as much golf as possible and working in my wife's kindergarden class a couple of times a week.

It sounds like the planing committee has done a great job, I wish I could be there but a prior commitment will keep me from attending
